landscape, this park is a home to some unusual animal species. It is a perfect habitat for Swamp deer and Tigers. The Indian rhino, leopards, elephants, bears, muntjacs, gharial, crocodile and spotted deer inhabit the thick forests too.

Naimisharanya Misrikh, located at a drive of around 94 km from Lucknow, is an important religious centre, famous for its temples of Lalita, Dadhichi Kund, Vyas Gaddi, Chakratrith and Hanuman Garhi.
Dewa Sharif, located at a distance of around 25 km from Lucknow is a religious shrine, which is a live example of Hindu-Muslim unity. It is basically a tomb of Syed Haji Waris Ali Shah, who influenced the lives of many generations of people with the message of universal love for humanity. During the months of October and November the Deva Mela is held, which attracts thousands of devotees from all over.
Kukrail Reserve Forest, a picnic spot developed by the Forest Department, is located at a distance of around 15 km from Lucknow. Its main attractions are a deer park and crocodile nursery. This spot also possesses a Children's Park, rest house and cafeteria. Various species of deer, such as Sambhar, Black Bucks and Spotted Deer are found here. It also has a good collection of birds. |
